What is an Alkoven?
Alkoven motorhomes have a unique structure above the driver's cabin, known as the alcove. This structure increases the vehicle's height and allows for better utilization of the interior space. In the alcove, there are spacious and comfortable sleeping areas that couldn't be accommodated in a vehicle of the same size without this structure.

Ready for Anything: The alcove structure is made of durable fiberglass (GFK) while the side walls are made of aluminum. Everything comes with a 7-year water ingress warranty. In the spacious rear garage of Carado motorhomes, all bulky items can be securely stowed.
Made for comfort: Indirect lighting, durable seat covers on comfortable upholstered furniture, and plenty of practical details. For example, USB sockets, energy-saving LED lighting, and ergonomically shaped cushions.
Sleep like on clouds: High-quality and comfortable mattresses. The alcove beds are foldable, providing a sense of increased space. The safety nets on the high beds offer a secure feeling.
Cooking thoughtfully: The kitchens in the alcoves are ergonomically arranged and offer practical work surfaces. Two-burner stoves, spacious drawers, and refrigerators with freezer compartments.
Wellness on the go: Depending on the alcove model, the shower and toilet room are either combined or separately arranged. However, all models offer practical features such as large mirror surfaces, recessed LED spots, and cassette toilets.
The standard ISOFIX mounts enable easy and secure anchoring of child seats in the alcove motorhomes. ISOFIX is an internationally standardized system that firmly connects child seats to the vehicle's body. This not only secures the child seat during the journey but also significantly enhances the safety of the children. Even empty child seats remain stable in place.
The interior lighting of the alcove motorhomes is equipped with LED lights as standard. These LEDs save power and extend the battery life. Since LEDs do not get hot, they also offer increased fire and accident safety.
All alcove motorhomes are equipped with practical side kitchens that feature drawers with Servo-Soft technology. This technology ensures gentle and quiet closing of the drawers, preventing injuries from sharp edges and unintentional slamming. The robust and durable slides withstand frequent use, increasing the longevity of the kitchens and making them particularly safe and user-friendly.
