Patron Plasticfree Peaks is an organisation from the Allgäu region that has made it its mission to get rubbish and plastic out of nature and the mountains in the Allgäu. In the meantime, the project is being implemented at Lake Constance, in the Black Forest and other areas in the German-Austrian Alpine region.
The idea is simple and sensible at the same time: reusable collection utensils are handed out, rubbish is collected together in teams or alone and nature is freed from it. These tours can be entered on a map on the Plasticfree Peaks website.
Every year, several CleanUP Days take place in different regions. Here, teams collect rubbish together. In order to keep journeys to and from the CleanUP Days to a minimum and to support the organisational team on site, Carado provides a mobile home as a mobile office.
Together we have achieved great things! We recently organized a CleanUP Day to make our surroundings in Leutkirch and the surrounding area even cleaner and greener. This CleanUP Day was carried out in collaboration with our cooperation partner Plasticfree Peaks.
In total, we formed four groups that travelled for about two hours to rid our nature of packaging, plastic and paper waste. Each participant received a CleanUP kit consisting of stainless steel tongs and a reusable trash bag. After the successful CleanUP tour, we spent the evening in good company and toasted to our joint achievement. Thanks to the support of Plasticfree Peaks and our dedicated team, we were not only able to do something good for nature, but also take a small step towards sustainability. A big thank you also to our great colleagues who got involved in CleanUP Day and to our partner Plasticfree Peaks.
