Protect & Connect theft location, powered by Vodafone Automotive, effectively protects your vehicle against theft and is based on a Europe-wide service network. Location is determined precisely via GPS and supplemented by GSM cell location if GPS location is not possible. Thanks to international GSM and GPRS coverage, the integrated SIM card is permanently in roaming and accesses a wide range of mobile networks to ensure a stable connection to the vehicle.

In the event of theft, alarm centres in 44 countries take over the location tracking and support the recovery of the vehicle in cooperation with local police departments. The alarm centres are available around the clock and use a detailed event and location history, which is used for effective recovery and passed on to the relevant authorities.

Via the My Connected Car app for Android and iOS, you can manage and monitor geo-zones and receive information as soon as your vehicle leaves a defined location. In addition, functions such as a digital logbook and a car finder are available, reliably guiding you to the vehicle's current location. The system regularly performs automatic function checks and informs you if a fault is detected.

If you change vehicles, the system can be transferred to a new vehicle. After successful registration, the service is available in a total of 44 countries, with formal registration currently possible for customers from Germany and Austria. The price includes the SIM card, app use and connection to the alarm centre network for the first year. From the second year, an annual service fee of 69.50 euros applies. In the event of theft, an additional one-off fee of 199 euros is charged.
