Smart Battery System 5-cell block 125 AH

The CARADO Smart Battery System combines an AGM battery with a lithium iron phosphate battery to form a coordinated overall system. The usable capacity remains high – with a small space requirement and significantly reduced weight.

The durable and value-retaining system is specifically designed for Carado models and ensures a reliable power supply on board. This increases the service life from an average of around 3 years to about 10 years. The lithium battery offers almost three times the usable capacity compared to a 95 Ah AGM battery – with smaller external dimensions and around 10 kg less weight. Being a LiFePO4 battery, it is considered thermally stable, ensuring overheating is ruled out. From engine start the battery takes up charge evenly – without delay from chemical warm-up processes. The combination of AGM and LI works reliably over a wide temperature range. Even in cold conditions the AGM battery delivers reliable performance, taking up charge immediately even at sub-zero temperatures. At the same time it warms the lithium battery to 10 °C so it can be charged quickly. This keeps the system reliably functional in winter.

Installation:
The existing electrical block and any additional chargers can continue to be used. The battery management coordinates all processes and ensures smooth operation. Installation takes place without additional equipment in the passenger seat area. The battery is secured under the passenger seat using the supplied mounting plate. Additional storage space is retained. Existing AGM batteries remain in use and do not need to be disposed of. The system can be supplemented with further 2-unit blocks if required.

Retrofittable:
The 5-unit block is suitable for installing a second battery when additional capacity is needed. Existing AGM batteries can remain. Also ideal for a later replacement of worn AGM batteries.

Fail-safe:
Each module has its own battery management. If one module fails, the others remain operational. A failure of the entire on-board electrical system is virtually ruled out. Tested quality – Made in Germany. The LI battery has E-approval and has been tested by TÜV for temperature cycling and vibration. Manufacturing takes place in Germany.
